About Us

 

Salam Support Services (SSS) is a nonprofit civil society organization that provides senior services to underserved and underprivileged seniors, offering skills development, vocational training, and imparting social skills to young people through physical activities. We are a group of healthcare professionals and business entrepreneurs who have created this social organization in Hyderabad, Sindh. We have formed this non-governmental “charity” organization under the umbrella of SALAM SUPPORT SERVICES, designated as a charity organization with social, economic, and seniors support services.

​Professor Abdul Salam was born in Hyderabad on February 26, 1950. He had his early education in Hyderabad, Sindh. He completed his post-graduation from the University of Sindh and started his career as a Lecturer in Political Sciences, with his unprecedented leadership, God gifted talent and his extraordinary social skills, negotiation capabilities, and strategic vision he became the shining start of the Ismaili Community, He was quickly known as Professor of Government College, Hyderabad, then touche higher level finally destined to be the Director of College Education and the Chairman of Sindh Text Book Board.

Professor ​Salam’s commitment to community service was unwavering. In 1984, he began his journey as a volunteer for numerous philanthropic organizations. His dedication led him to the role of Director of Aga Khan Education Services, where he established schools in Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Sultanabad, and many more small towns. His pioneering work in community schools for the underprivileged and vulnerable population was a testament to his passion for education. His extraordinary commitment to female education, leadership, and professional ​training was evident in the establishment of the Aga Khan Girls’ Hostel. His tireless efforts and dedication to women’s empowerment were recognized when H.H. the Aga Khan bestowed upon him the title of Atamadi.​ This title symbolizes trust, confidence, honor, and selfless service to the people of Pakistan.

To revive Professor Salam’s legacy, his affection, love,  dedication, and commitment to the community in education, the  Aga Khan Foundation’s fundraising, and women empowerment, the family of Professor Salam would like to continue that contribution to transform the lives of destitute seniors, economically distressed families, and young individuals to be aware of his services and continue legacy for those in need.

Your legacy lives in the hearts of those you touched and transformed​. ​Your tireless efforts uplifted many from poverty to a path of prosperity, progress, and a lasting generational impact on the families of the underprivileged. We are forever grateful for your selfless service​s​ and dedication.

The mission of Salam Support Services is to provide equitable access to seniors, sustain the family income through vocational training, and enhance the social skills of young individuals.

The vision of Salam Support Services is to enhance the quality of life, economic stability, and improve social skills.

Our values are to inspire others, to work with honesty, integrity, and respect, and to maintain trust in our faith.

Goals and objectives: By 2030, Salam Support Services will reach to 2,000 Seniors, enroll 500 individuals to vocational training and skills development, and engage over 3,000 young individuals in reducing screen time and enhancing social skills and physical strength.
